This paper deals with the efficient transmission of JPEG compressed images over Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems using spatial multiplexing. By exploiting the spatial multiplexing using multiple antennas; data-rate, reliability, and throughput can be improved. The JPEG compressed image is divided into different quality layer and the antenna path with highest Signal to Interference Noise Ratio (SINR) is selected to transmit the different layers of image. Depending upon the SINR of v…
The paper discusses encryption schemes such as public key algorithms (RSA) and One Time Pads. It also discusses various attacks on the RSA algorithm. A brief introduction to Modular Arithmetic, which is the core arithmetic of almost all public key algorithms, has been given. In this paper we propose a variant to the RSA algorithm which is effective against Wiener's Short Secret Exponent attack. The security and the efficiency of the proposed variant have also been discussed.
In this paper, we present the concept of transmitting power without using wires i.e., transmitting power as microwaves from one place to another is in order to reduce the transmission and distribution losses. This concept is known as Microwave Power transmission (MPT). We also discussed the technological developments in Wireless Power Transmission (WPT). The advantages, disadvantages, biological impacts and applications of WPT are also presented.
In this paper a Microsrtip patch fractal antenna in a Sierpinski carpet is proposed for the Wireless Power Transmission (WPT) System. The design and simulation results of 2.45 GHz Microstrip patch fractal antenna are presented. The antenna is designed based on the transmission line model with the input impedance of 50?. The simulation results are well matched with the calculated values and show that the size of the antenna can be reduced to 31.26% from the conventional patch antenna. The simula…
The Electromyograph (EMG) is useful to know the state of a patient under medical diagnosis and treatment. As the number of neuromuscular patients is increasing, it is not possible to take care of all the neuromuscular patients by carrying out manual investigations under all the conditions. Therefore it is required to design a computer aided expert system which can analyze and interpret the EMG signal. The EMG data acquisition and preprocessing, detection of MUAPs, classification of EMGs into si…
Providing good QoS in Cellular IP networks is one of the important issues in order to improve the performance of the Cellular IP network. Resource reservation is one of the methods used in achieving this goal and is proven to be effective. Resources of Cellular IP network that can be reserved are bandwidth, buffer and CPU cycles. Router CPU cycle is the time taken to process a packet before forwarding it to the next router (hop). This paper is proposing a model for CPU cycle optimization of rou…
Future-generation cellular wireless systems, transporting high bit rates in non-ideal radio propagation environments, must be robust to severe frequency selective multipath. Further requirements include moderate terminal and base station hardware costs, high spectral efficiency, and scalability of the cost of terminals with respect to their maximum bit rate capabilities. Reconfigurable air interfaces, based on frequency domain transmission and reception methods, best meet these requirements, by…
The performance comparison of two Markov models namely the Baum Welch Algorithm based HMM and Semi Hidden Markov Model has been evaluated for a DS-CDMA link in this work. The simulation includes the effects of AWGN, Multipath and Multiple Access Interference. Validation includes a comparison of the run-length statistic for the original and regenerated error sequence from estimated models. The SHMM approach is seen to be capable of developing a more accurate model as compared to the BWA. The le…
Object oriented development has proved its worth in today’s system because its design and development is better, reliable and easier to access than the traditional methodologies. Due to updated requirements and lack of documentation in old systems has provided a motivation to revamp the systems. Rebuilding or redesigning the same system is highly expensive. To overcome this problem reverse engineering of the system is used as most suitable alternative. Field of reverse engineering is expanding …
Virtual Instruments are the motivational component for remote experimentation in Science and Engineering. The paper presents the use of Virtual Instruments in simulation and control of bioreactors process parameters, which leads easy extension to remote laboratory practices. The process systems equivalent to bioreactors process parameters, temperature, pH and agitation speed are modeled and the corresponding control algorithms are developed to obtain the acceptable output response. The sensors …
