The paper presents performance comparison of Transform Wavelet Pyramid based Iris Recognition techniques using Walsh, Haar and Kekre wavelet transforms. Here Iris Recognition is done using the image feature set extracted from Transform Wavelet Pyramid obtained from Iris images at various levels of decomposition. Performance analysis is done by calculating False Acceptance Rate and Genuine Acceptance Rate. The proposed techniques are tested on an iris image database [16] having 384 images. The results show that Wavelets give better discrimination capability in Iris Recognition at faster query execution speed. The Walsh and Haar Transform Wavelet Pyramid level-5 outperforms other levels of Transform Wavelet Pyramid, because the higher level Wavelets are giving coarse color-texture features while the lower level are representing fine color-texture features which are less useful for discrimination of images in Iris Recognition.
