Abstract

In this paper the effect of Viscoelastic fluid flow past an infinite plate with heat dissipation is investigated. The dimensionless governing equations are solved using perturbation technique. The analytical results for velocity and temperature and there different parameters such as Prandtl number, Eckert number and Viscoelastic parameter number are studied. It is observed that the velocity decreases with increasing material parameters Pr, Ko and Ec. While temperature increases with increasing material parameters Pr and Ec. Only the increase of Viscoelastic parameter Ko decreases the temperature. The skin friction and Nusselt number tends to increase with the increase of material parameter in both tables while the Nusselt number decreases with only increase in Eckert number.
