In Software engineering certain functions in the back-end can be performed by software robotic process. These activities are often triggered by humans from a user interface or via an API such as placing a trade in exchange trading, extracting data, filling out forms, moving files and so on. Robotic Process Automation, use automation technology to replicate these human functions integrating and performing repetitive operations between enterprise and productivity applications. In this paper an extensive review of how a software or programmable model can be built to handle these operations and looking at existing models and challenges in them that can be improved upon. It explores how a software bot combines a combination of automation, computer vision, and machine learning to automate rule-based and trigger-driven repetitive, high-volume tasks. How programmable software systems can deploy scripts that mimic human processes are also evaluated. It will examine how these automation process employs rule-based software to carry out high-volume business process activities, freeing up human resources to focus on more complicated work. It also reviews how software engineering special tools can be used for planning, engineering, designing and reuse of the Robotic Process Automation applications or software systems.
